Are you in need of a new car, or do you want a new car? But do you not want to sacrifice fuel mileage at the same time Why not hold off on buying a new car for a year or so, so you can get the 2013 C-Max Energi or 2013 C-Max Hybrid? C-MAX Energi is predicted to achieve more than 500 miles of driving range using the battery and engine; more than any other plug-in or extended-range vehicle. C-MAX Hybrid is expected to deliver better miles-per-gallon than the 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid which is the most fuel-efficient sedan in America. The lithium-ion battery systems that will be going into both of these cars will be more advanced, lighter and smaller than the nickel-metal hydride batteries that power today’s hybrids which makes them easier to package in a vehicle, and can be tuned to increase power to boost acceleration or to increase energy to extend driving distance. Click here to learn more about the 2013 C-Max Energi and 2013 C-Max Hybrid.

Even though it’s barely 2011 there’s a certain anticipation in the air – it’s time to start licking your lips at the thought of a whole new slate of car models coming just around the corner – the 2012 models. First up – the 2012 Ford Focus. Already a success, it just keeps getting better.

For starters, the 2012 Ford Focus has an all-new chassis and suspension and new cornering assist technology. Additionally you’ll get to experience a new dual-clutch six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission.

The new Ford Focus also boasts an Electronic Power Assist Steering system.

Oh, and did we mention the fact that it has a road-ripping 247-horsepower hatchback edition? The overall look is one of silky smooth lines on a car that’s designed for speed and performance.

The 2012 Ford Focus is expected to hit dealers this spring and we can’t wait to tear up the roads with it.

The Chrysler Group will show off two vehicles auto shows in 2010 hinting at future collaborations under Italy’s Fiat.

The Chrysler Group will show off two vehicles auto shows in 2010 hinting at future collaborations under Italy’s Fiat. Among Chrysler’s future vehicles will likely be an electric version of the Fiat 500 minicar and a Lancia Delta mid-size hatchback with a Chrysler grille. Although Chrysler has no immediate plans to sell either of the vehicles in North America it will be interesting to see what they roll out. A corner of Chrysler’s stand may also be dedicated to showing vehicles from Fiat’s luxury-sports brands, the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Maserati GranCabrio.

Chrysler may also display the entire Fiat 500 lineup for the first time in North America, and this would include the likes of the 500C cabriolet, scheduled to go on sale in 2011, and the sporty 500 Abarth. The 500 hatchback, previewed in April at the New York auto show, will go on sale in the United States in late 2010.

Chrysler will build the 500 for North America at its plant in Toluca, Mexico, beginning late 2010. Initial capacity will be 100,000 units a year — half of them destined for North America and half for Latin America. The 500 will be powered by Fiat’s 1.4-liter FIRE engine, for “fully integrated robotized.” Engine output will range from about 100 hp for the base model to about 175 hp for the turbocharged version destined to be the Abarth sporty model.
